After everything that Joseph had been through he was willing to forgive his brothers, recognising that God was able to turn what seemed to be something bad in to something good (Romans 8:28). Jesus demonstrates that same power to forgive - even more so - when he offered forgiveness to those who had nailed him to the cross.
