Fun and family mayhem introduced by Gerard Le Feuvre. KCO’s legendary kids’ concerts have been described as the finest in the country. Somehow they succeed in engaging the whole family, friends and neighbours in celebration of life, and are known amid the beautiful music for their spontaneous and polite lunacy (SPL), and interactive fun (IF), or SPLIF for short hat.
Bring a torch and a teddy and expect the unexpected amid classic highlights from Bach to the Beatles. Suitable for all ages and especially young families. Programme around 50 mins
BRING A TORCH AND A TEDDY!
Wherever the Kings Chamber Orchestra go they give daytime concerts for children and young families.
“Children from as young as a few months old, right up to teenagers were just totally absorbed by the music and the fun and humour”
“This outstanding professional orchestra gives the most original and exciting children`s concerts I have ever heard. Relaxed and informal, its imaginative programming is brilliantly presented – the “DIY” conducting was a real hit with my two children and they loved the way the musicians walked through the audience too. Way better than anything I have seen in Central London-a treat for the adults too!”
Helen Mansfield, Producer, BBC TV Classical Music.
