Upcoming Highlights

The Lock In: Sundays, 6:00pm - 7:00pm; An exciting hour of prayer, from 6pm–7pm every Sunday at HCC. It's called "The Lock In" because the building will literally be locked after 6pm once everyone is in. If you arrive at 6:05pm you won’t be able to get in! This is not a gimmick but a call to get serious with God and that includes showing up on time – early in fact. We hope you’ll join us. Get there for 5:55pm and you’ll be away by 7:00pm. We sense God has some great things planned in and through us during these times. Don’t miss out!

CSI: Hitchin

Tuesdays, 7:30pm - 9:30pm

CSI comes to Hitchin Christian Centre in January. 'Christian Spirituality Investigated' is a new course unpacking aspects of the Christian faith. Put simply, it's a safe place to explore your big questions about life and faith and don't worry if you're not into religion - neither are we! CSI offers you everything you wanted to ask about Christianity but never had the chance - along with great coffee, tasty desserts, thought-provoking conversation and a relaxed atmosphere.

CSI will explore and challenge the Christian faith to see what it has to offer for everyday life, along with the opportunity to try some spiritual exercises and see what difference they can make. Packed with video clips, famous celebrity quotes and in-depth conversation, the CSI course will provoke and inspire you and it's a great opportunity for anyone looking for answers about the big questions in life.

CSI will be running instead of HCC's Life Groups throughout January (starting on the 10th), February and March so why not come along and find out more - and bring your friends along too!

Alternative Realities? Atheism: Sunday 18th March, 7:00pm - 9:00pm; Atheist philosopher Dr Julian Baggini will be conversing with Dr Brendan Devitt, Director of Training and Theology at Hitchin Christian Centre. The event will be a unique opportunity to hear one of the UK’s leading atheists talk about life without God as well as respond to Christian perspectives on the meaning of life. More info here...

The Big Celebration with Steve Chalke: Sunday 25th March 2012, 6:00pm - 9:00pm; Don't miss this really special celebration evening of worship and teaching with guest speaker Steve Chalke. We'll also be honouring Tony for his many years of service leading the Church, and commissioning Matt as he officially takes over the leadership of HCC.

The Big Celebration with Jeff Lucas: Wednesday, 2nd May, 7:45pm - 10:00pm; A really special evening bringing the church together for worship, teaching and ministry. An unmissable evening!
