As a church we are not able (or allowed) to give financial advice, but we hope these links are useful places to go for some of the practical issues you might be facing.

Christians Against Poverty is a national debt counselling charity with a network of centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service.

The government's website is Directgov, where you can find advice on money matters including benefits and financial support, managing debt, redundancy, pensions, tax credits and jobs. You can also find similar advice at the Citizens Advice Bureau.

National Debtline provides free confidential and independent advice on how to deal with debt problems. The Consumer Credit Counselling Service is a registered charity offering free, confidential advice and support to anyone who is worried about debt. You could also try the Debt Advice Foundation.
