Creche

Each Sunday morning,we have a creche that runs during the second part of our morning services - 11.15am-12.15pm.  Children aged 1-4 years old may be left with the creche workers.  If you have a child younger than one year old you may take your child into the creche, but you must stay with them.  The children can move up into Kool Kids Sunday Club when they begin school.

[Please note, creche does not run on the last Sunday of each month, when we have our Friends and Family Service.]

Kool Kids Sunday Club

'Kool Kids Sunday Club' is the name of our Sunday School and is divided into 2 groups - 4 to 7 year olds and 8-10 year olds.  These groups are not just child care whilst adults sit in their service downstairs, but an opportunity for children to discover how God and the Bible are relevant to their lives too.  Kool Kids Sunday Club runs two Sunday mornings a month [three if there are five Sunday's in a month]; usually the first and third Sundays.  On the Sundays that KKSC is running, the children will go into the first half of the main service, until 11.15am.  At 11.15am, they will be asked to go to their groups upstairs.  They will then stay in their respective groups until 12.15pm when the adult service finishes.

See 'Friends and Family Services' and 'Children's Services' to find out what happens on the other Sunday mornings of each month.

Children's Services

Our children's services are a new aspect to our work here at HCC.  These services have been started to show children and young people that it is posssible to not only learn about God, but also spend time with God and get to know God too.  This service is running once a month on the third Sunday of each month at present.  The service starts at 10.30am and will finish at 12.15pm.  During this service we have: drama, quizzes, memory verses, activities and crafts, singing, Bible stories, puppets and much more!!  These service are run by a team of adults, with a group of 11-14 year olds helping out.

Kool Kids Holiday Club

Each year, in the first week of the Summer holidays [usually the last week in July], we run a holiday club over 4 days for children age 5-11. The sessions run 10am-12.15pm for 4 consecutive days [Tuesday - Friday], with a family fun-day to follow up on the first Saturday in September.  Each session includes music, craft, games, quizzes and stories, with a Bible theme running through the week.  For 2006, we present "Pyramid Rock!", Tuesday 25th - Friday 28th July.  We will be looking at the story of a guy named Joseph from the Bible, and seeing all the things he learnt about God.

Parents and Toddlers

This is a lively group where toddlers can use up some of their boundless energy!  It is run on Thursday mornings.  There are a variety of different toys including some large play equipment. The emphasis is on parents having a chat and a cuppa while their children play around them.  The group also welcomes babies and nursery age children.
