Can we refer to God as our Mother?
Q: Christians often refer to God as "Father". Jesus taught us that we can pray to our "Father". However can we refer to God as our Mother?
A: Hi, and thanks for your question. God in all faiths is always described as 'He’. The God of the Bible is a triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God the Son - Jesus Christ - came as the only way to God the Father. He said "No-one can come to the Father, but by me!"
To Call God Father we must belong to Him. Jesus has made a way to bridge the gap, by dying for our wrong doing and allowing God the Father to forgive us and belong to His Family.
I hope that makes sense. If you need more help, please contact me.
Regards,
Tony
